AGM @ kochi on 18th and 19th

Hi folks

So have you begun planning your trip to the AGM of AeSI’s! Well I have and including my roommate and friend we are all planning a 3 days break in Cochin. The scheduled dates for the AGM are 18th an 19th. 19th is Monday and we all have office so we won’t be staying there for that day. We will be there on the 18th when we will be getting our awards and then we will fly back!!!

Our visit will begin on Friday night and we will be back by Monday morning to greet our respective bosses in the office J.

I know many of you are thinking of skipping it? Well many people do but hey man, you get your degree certificate once in a lifetime so why loose an opportunity to receive it in a formal way. You always have received your exam mark sheets that way, so not try getting the degree certificates in a ceremony. Don’t listen to what seniors say. Last time people got their degrees like a real convocation ceremony minus the black gown and cap, so why miss it now. You know, just saying you are proud to be an aesian’s is not enough. Declare it by going to the AGM, attend it and show the world!!!

People respect those who respect themselves, show have some respect for the degree you have worked so hard and then see people will begin respecting the degree you will take. Come there and join us!!!!

One more thing that I can tell everyone is that this time in AGM there is a high chance of aesi folks to get some opportunities, so don’t miss it. I have heard someone big in Indian aerospace might recruit 6 aesians so who knows may be you might be the one……. So come on folks its only Cochin!!!

posts getting leaner

Well I have nothing special to tell but as I looked at my posts in the blog, I saw that the post have become so rare and they are spaced so much. The last post was on 5th Jan and the last before that was a long ago. Why? I wondered given that now I have internet and computer access now, so why this posts have grown so less and my activity in the club has grown so lean. Perhaps since I have come to Bangalore, I am more involved in my personal growth, in updating and teaching myself that I have lost touch with the favorite thing that I always loved doing since June 2002 when ouraesi club had its first post.

Another reason about the lean post that I see is that I stopped writing personal things and was just reporting what I heard and knew. But not anymore; I have to resurrect this blog and I intend to do so.

Anupam goyal’s email gathered so much enthusiasm in everyone and that’s what I aimed at when I first posted in the club and I am planning to do so again.

So folks stay tuned I won’t be disappointing you. Anyway you can congratulate me on my wedding which was one of the reasons the posts were lean in the last 6 months!!!!

I am proud to be aesian - gem of OURAeSI

Well I am reproducing a mail from my friend anupam goyal who just got into HAL. He was always the talkative fellow among us. And has a way to talk straight. That’s the reason I am reposting the mail in this blog, because he so right. Many of us who have come and joined some organization have the similar feeling and the line I like the most is “"I am proud to be aesian". And its rings so true.

Believe me coming from anupam, it’s a compliment. So folks be proud in whatever you are doing. Study hard and the sky is limitless for you all…..

The letter follows…………

Dear friends
Happy new year to all of you!!!!!! And its great pleasure for me to inform you that i have joined hindustan aeronautics ltd (HAL) as management trainee along with 6 other Aesians.
this is i think the first time that hal has taken so many AeSIans together as management and design trainees. and i think it is the great opportunity for us to prove that more of us shud be taken and AeSIans are lot better than others.and we have started the process as i have written this in our feedback form that more of aesians should be taken rather than taking hundreds of mech and electronics engineer.
and also from now onwards i wud like to share my experience with all of u specially the youngsters and the people who are about to past as life of an AeSian after graduating. this may give u some of the idea what lies ahead when u pass out.

it has been 3 days since we have joined and HAL is providing evrything a fresher cud ask for.we are to be imparted one year training at various places like IITs IIMs and so many places. we are provided excellent rooms in guest houses and provided food and transport etc during our training.the first 3 days from jan 1 2007 have been all introduction and induction programs. and here while interacting with so many regular college people i realised that we society students are much more superior than them in terms of knowledge. thge questions asked by them like what is difference between "aerospace aerodynamics and aeronautics" was sure enough to make us laugh. and first time i can say that "i am proud to be aesian".
i will continue narrating my experiencing as we move on and i wud just like to add that dont feel inferior as we are better than everybody. and always say i am proud to be an AeSIan.

regards
anupam goyal
